Accountability and Learning in Emergencies: Primer Workshop
This primer is an ad-hoc introductory workshop to the basics of accountability and learning for those new to the sector, academics and civil society organizers.
The responsibilities of Monitoring and Evaluation personnel have been expanded over the last 5 years, and are often include elements of Accountability and Learning (collectively referred to as MEAL). Accountability and Learning in a crisis are often overlooked, but they are essential part of good aid projects. This workshop will cover the concepts and tools associated with A&L. The tools covered are: community accountability, community feedback mechanisms, accessibility audits, and analysis for learning.
Registration price includes admission to a 1.5 hour workshop, a recording of that workshop for later use, and a set of downloadable handouts, further reading, and 'next step' suggestions for attendees wishing to continue their learning.
